Web Links Categorization Module (now 2.7x compatible)

Overview

This module will help to categorize your links so as to avoid "link farming".

Screenshot (will open in a new window or tab)

Compatible Catalogs:
» Simple Site Catalog
» Site Builder (available exclusively to resellers)

General Description

This module allows for categorization of web links. It builds on the Link Order list that was already available within the catalogs, so there are up to 99 possible categories (should be more than enough).

Provided you have database table create permissions, installing should go quick.

Please note that this module is compatible with both the 2.62b and 2.7x catalogs. It does not work on previous versions.

Aside from possible older catalog version tweaks, the files require no customization or knowledge of PHP. All you need to do is to replace the weblinks.php file in whatever you named your 'storeadmin' folder, and replace the weblinks.php file in the 'enc' folder. Once done, enter the storeadmin via your browser, and select the Weblinks option from the menu on the right. On this page, you'll be provided the option to setup the weblinks categorization module. Click the Setup button to install the database table (providing you have create permissions). Once run, you can begin adding/editing category names. Select a number from the list, give it a name, and alter it. Then, when editing a web link, you can select the category from the list on the edit page.

Once categorized, the weblinks page on your site will be categorized automatically. Paging is calculated as it was before, [the number of product rows times the number of columns] per page.

The purchase page is at (under the "Add-Ons for other Catalogs" section):
http://kdcinfo.com/catalog/pricing.php

I have to send the files manually, so it can take up to 12 hours, but typically should be within just a couple hours.

The combination of Mals-E shopping cart software, the OptionCart Catalog, and the Multi-Product Editor creates one of the most awesome and powerful tools you can find or use for your e-commerce needs.
The Multi-Product Editor (MPE) and Multi-Product Adder (MPA) both work with the OptionCart Deluxe shopping cart catalog system.
Neither the MPE nor the MPA will overwrite any existing data or information already stored in your database. It will however expedite the adding and updating of such information.
